Gone are the busy/tired/TV/time/work excuses and in their place has been half an hour of awesome every night! We have even fit story time in around weddings, birthdays and the birth of T’s baby brother - it’s doable!ĭespite my best efforts, there have been a few occasions where I simply couldn’t read a bedtime story with T. There have been occasions when the routine hasn’t been workable or when I have been away but we have always found a workaround. We have made a conscious effort to establish a clear routine - upstairs at 7pm, toilet and teeth, PJ’s, pick a book, story, chat, lights out, cuddle and a kiss, sleep - that we have stuck to as much as possible. This year though, a deliberate effort has been made - involving everyone in our household - to ensure that a story happens as part of T’s bedtime routine. Maybe a long day at work? Or a set of books to mark sat waiting patiently in a bag in the hallway? Or maybe someone in the house was a little cranky or out of sorts? Either way, more often than not, bedtime did not include a story. Reading has always been an important part of our household but before 2018 it used to be the case that other things got in the way of a bedtime story. Yesterday was Day 365 and the completion of our challenge and it’s fair to say that we have both learned a lot over the course of 365 days, 367 different books and 220, 200 words! Here are seven things that I have learned after reading a bedtime story every day for a year… “A year ago today, T and I started off on an adventure inspired by a New Year’s Resolution to read a bedtime story every night for one year. Haworth dad Kieron and his son T shared a bedtime story every night in 2018. Learn more about media interviews, case studies and information. The house has a strict horizontal and vertical grid alignment, which dictates the layout and rhythm and is picked up and reflected by different architectural elements throughout the house. This detailed architectural approach has been drawn from Markowitz’s experience as a furniture maker and architect. It allows the house to open to the north sun while minimizing glazing and ceiling height to the southern side. A retrospective cohort study by Gani et al. at our hospital showed that the mortality rate of patients with liver cirrhosis in the first 2 years was 75.3%, with the highest mortality occurring in the first 3 months after hospital admission. According to the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), during the period of 2007–2017, liver cirrhosis increased by 5.6% as the most common cause of mortality in Indonesia. in 1980–2010, Indonesia ranked fourth in the world for the highest mortality rate of cirrhotic patients compared to 186 other countries. Based on research conducted by Mokdad et al. The mortality rate of patients with liver cirrhosis has significantly increased in recent years, including in Indonesia. The scoring system has shown great accuracy in predicting 90-day mortality in hospitalized cirrhosis patients, making it a valuable tool for identifying the necessary care and interventions needed for these patients upon admission. The scoring system resulted in three risk categories: low risk (score of 0–3) with a 4.1-18.4% probability of death, moderate risk (score of 5–6) with a 40.5-54.2% probability of death, and high risk (score of 8–11) with a 78.1-94.9% probability of death. The combination of these variables had a good discriminative value with an AUC of 0.921 (95% CI: 0.876–0.967). The study revealed that liver cirrhosis patients who were hospitalized had a 90-day mortality rate of 42.2%, with contributing factors including Child-Pugh, MELD, and leukocyte levels. The sensitivity and specificity of the scoring system were evaluated using the AUC (area under the curve) metric. The scoring system that resulted from this study categorized patients into low, moderate, and high-risk categories based on their predicted mortality rates. Cox regression analysis was performed to obtain predictor factors contributing to mortality in liver cirrhosis patients. Patients were monitored for up to 90-day after hospitalization to determine their condition. Demographic, clinical, and laboratory data were recorded. This prospective cohort study was conducted on hospitalized cirrhotic patients at Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital, Jakarta. By using this scoring system, crucial care of plans can be taken to reduce the risk of mortality. This study aims to develop a scoring system to predict the 90-day mortality among hospitalized patients with liver cirrhosis that could be used for modification of treatment plan according to the scores that have been obtained. It is necessary to identify patients who are at higher risk of early mortality. Previous studies have shown that patients with liver cirrhosis are at increased risk of death within 90-day after hospitalization. Complications due to progression of liver disease may deteriorate the liver function and worsen prognosis. Liver cirrhosis is the final stage of chronic liver disease. When the wind blows, the blades are forced round, driving a turbine which generates electricity. If you read all the way through this, THANK YOU for reading this far and I am willing to try anything to increase the flow into the filter. I can watch a leaf put in the water go clockwise from the west side to the east side but before it hits the skimmer it goes south and then west again. I've trimmed the trees back from hanging over the pool, but has little effect when the wind blows. Maybe I need a bigger pump? I have a ton of trees and garden that produce debris, but really can't change that. I watched there youtube videos and they recommend to. Which to me defeats the purpose of having a VSP. I have a pollen and surface debris problem. I have a sand filter (emptied and refilled last year professionally) and I keep it very clean back flushing when the pressure changes 2 lbs. I found with my variable speed pump that you have to run at high rpm to create the suction seal needed for it to work. Maybe silly of me, but I bought a 'Skim-A-Round' skimmer basket hoping to increase my flow into the filter. I took off the weir door as it didn't do much anyway and it helped a little on debris travel. I bought a skim around all in one which seemed like a great idea in theory. It does make a whirlpool and some noise, but has little or no effect on actual pulling in of debris. Moving, floating skimmer that keeps your above or in-ground pool free of. I also have a booster pump (1 return) that I don't use because I don't use an automatic cleaner anymore. I only have 2 returns, plus 1 main drain and 1 skimmer. I just don't think I can get the surface water to change out fast enough. It will utilize the same physics principals as the other Skim-A-Round models, but it. Mayora, though he might show up at area spots such as Martyrs’ or the Old Town Ale House, is out of the business now and Weeds has a sports bar vibe. Sergio Mayora, bartender, musician, artist and the public face of Weeds Tavern for decades. This trip to Weeds is the result of a lengthy story that Hoekstra wrote for Newcity, the local publication increasingly interested in giving readers lengthy city tales.
